First time author, L. S. Lentz, has been an educator for over fifteen years and is a wife a mother to two adult children and one large mastiff-mutt, Stella.  Stella’s unlikely friendship with the real Shell inspired her to write this story over ten years ago after she moved to a rustic farmhouse in Massachusetts with her husband and family.  She hopes this book encourages readers to find friends of all shapes, sizes and abilities. 

When she is not teaching, she can be found spending time with family and friends, hosting fundraising events, spinning, trying to golf, managing fantasy football and now writing!
