Author, adventurer, unconventional father, Peter’s family emigrated from Northern Ireland. Reading to quell his curiosity led to writing, a Spanish field trip to a life of exploration.

Nine years of residency in the Balkans (before Albania became a trendy destination) inspired a travelogue/ thriller: That Weekend in Albania—Swiss Family Robinson meets James Bond. In Kyiv, the city’s vibrancy and resolve rejuvenated his writing: Return to Pamplona, a lover’s quest in post-war Spain, is a historical romance mystery set in Francoist Spain.

His early life in western Europe (a NATO dependent), later witnessing the changes sweeping east (Vienna, Albania, Romania, and Ukraine) provides a basis for an upcoming memoir grappling with his European/Canadian identity.

Peter remains a frequent and observant traveler when not engaged in the inspiring Canadian wilderness.
