BOOK REVIEW: SLIP AND FALL
BY NICK SANTORA
We hope you enjoy this book review by
Judith M. Moderson.
I was excited to read this book because I enjoy legal stories and have seen many of
the television shows that Nick Santora wrote for.
The book has everything that I enjoy in it, humor, suspense and a style of writing that makes you want to stay up all night to finish just one more chapter...and then another and another until you
realize what time it is and that your alarm will ring in a few hours so you turn out
the light and take the book to work to read on your break and lunch hour.
The story is about and Italian attorney, Rob Principe, and his extended family. He starts out
wanting to make a difference in this world and to make his family especially his
father proud. He is a very intelligent attorney but not a good businessman. His
cousin is a part of the mob and Rob and his cousin cook up a plan that will make
money for them and the mob and he plans on doing it just one time to get ahead. Rob
then can't get out.
It was a very good portrayal of the legal system and possibly the
mob as well. He could have developed more personality for his wife. I thought that
he needed more detail into who her character was. He developed the personalities of
all the mob characters in such detail but the family that was so important to him
really fell flat. I loved this book from beginning to end and can't wait to see
what Nick Santora writes next. This is a wonderful book.
