Can guilt kill a kindling romance?
Jesse, Cecile and Bryn are best friends. Their friendship began in college and has continued over the years. Then the unthinkable happened. Cecile was killed in a car crash.
Jesse admired everything about Cecile and was just happy to be her friend. Cecile was really everything that Jesse wanted to be in life. Jesse hates her job, which doesn't help.
After Cecile's death, Jesse's life takes a tailspin. Months later, Jesse is still grieving. The only thing that makes her feel a little better is when she spends time with Zach, Cecile's widower. Zach is a food critic and Jesse agrees to go along with Zach to the restaurants as he does his reviews. Where is this friendship with Zach heading? Is it acceptable so soon after Cecile's death? How does Bryn feel about the relationship between Jesse and Zach?
After spending time together, Jesse and Zach soon discover something. What is it?
