Here today and gone tomorrow is a phrase that can be used to describe the Julius family. The mystery of the Julius family and the house they lived in has fascinated Aurora (Roe) Teegarden.

Roe is making final preparations for her marriage to Martin Bartell. Roe has purchased a very special wedding gift for her future husband but Martin has an even bigger surprise for Roe. He has purchased The Julius House as a wedding gift.

Roe is very excited about redoing the house and delving further into the mystery surrounding the disappearance of the family. Martin proposes that she allow his friends Shelby and Angel Youngblood the use of the apartment over the garage of the Julius house. Martin says that Shelby and Angel have had a run of bad luck and need a change of scenery.

Martin makes a lot of mysterious trips out of the country and Roe has never completely understood the purpose of these trips. Now with Shelby and Angel in residence she begins to wonder if the two have actually been hired by Martin to keep tabs on her. Before she can follow this train of thought too far she is the victim of a vicious attack that makes her thankful for the presence of the Youngblood’s on the property.

In order to take her mind off the questions regarding her husband’s work and frequent trips Roe sets out to find out what really happened to The Julius family and enlists Angel to help her.

This is the fourth book in the Amelia Teagarden series set in Atlanta, Georgia. I would very much like to become better acquainted with Roe and look forward to further adventures with this character.
