is Amber Frey's "tell all" story of her relationship with Scott
Peterson. Amber had been through some bad relationships in the
past. She gives us all the details about how she was set up
for the blind date with Scott arranged by her best friend, Shawn
Sibley. Amber admits she was very impressed with Scott - he
was hard working, ambitious and made a good living. In fact,
she came to the conclusion that he was "perfect". Scott was
incredibly nice to her little girl.
We all heard the rest of
this story and what happened. Amber began to wonder about
Scott. She did her own investigation and discovered that Scott
had been married. He broke down in tears and told her he "lost
his wife". Amber believed him.
As soon as Amber
realized what was happening, she contacted the police department and
offered to help. She secretly taped her conversations with
Scott. The prosecution against Scott Peterson used the tapes
and Amber became the star witness.
This book is an
interesting read. It does not shed any new information on the
murder of Laci Peterson but it gives us an inside look at what
happened from Amber's side. After reading the book we can see
that Amber was very na´ve and really wanted this relationship to
work. Some people might agree with Amber and others will
disagree but all in all, the story comes across as an honest insight
into her feelings. It does give us detailed information about
what was going on behind all the media coverage.
