Featured Book - Discovering Balance (A Chip Fullerton/Annie Smith Sports Novel) by T.L. Hoch

discoveringbalance2.jpg The second book in the Chip Fullerton/Annie Smith Sports Series is full of action, suspense, history, rock & roll, and, of course, humor. Annie, Chip and Jenny head straight from the basketball court to the softball diamond. It will not take the reader long to figure out that these are three very special girls, on and off the athletic field. Chip has several irons in the fire:

1. She's gearing up for when women take over the world.

2. Her search for personal balance is in full swing, much to her friends' dismay.

3. Her humanitarian efforts initially do not result in the gratitude she was hoping for. Annie's decision to pitch is still up in the air. Her hand is finally forced in a dramatic scene between her and her coach in right field. Jenny makes a huge relationship mistake that results in a full-blown rescue mission. Tammi is as annoying as usual to all those around her. But Coach Brown and Coach Harbison can only take so much.

On top of all their accomplishments and antics, three new characters show up. Lu is an exciting miler on the track team that becomes part of the girls' inner circle. Scott and Gina (twins) transfer to Reston and bring with them a whole new set of problems.

Luke is still the easy-going school sports writer trying to stay on Chip's good side.

Discovering Balance has all the elements of a great sports story for teens and adults. It will get you excited, make you laugh, make you think, and it will teach you a few things about the game of softball.
